Obsessive Compulsive Disorder

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) involves unwanted, distressing thoughts (obsessions) and things you feel you must do to ease the anxiety they cause (compulsions), such as checking, cleaning, counting or seeking reassurance. It is not about being tidy. It can be exhausting, and it is very treatable.

What this might look like for you

  • Your brain bullies you into doing things you know do not make sense.
  • Checking locks, stoves, or scrolling back texts over and over.
  • Having scary, intrusive thoughts that make you feel deeply guilty.
  • If things are not just right, it feels like a looming disaster.

OCD is incredibly loud and bossy. Therapy gives you specific, proven tools to turn its volume down and take back the wheel.

How therapy can help

  • Understand the OCD cycle and why compulsions keep it going
  • Use Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), gently and at your pace
  • Reduce the time and energy OCD takes from your day

Sessions are 50 minutes on Google Meet, ₹1,500 each or ₹5,100 for a package of 4. Your first 20-minute intro is free.

Common questions

What kind of therapy works for OCD?

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy with Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) is the most researched talking therapy for OCD. Several of our therapists work with OCD and use this approach.

My thoughts feel shameful. Can I really share them?

Yes. Intrusive thoughts are a common part of OCD and do not reflect who you are or what you want. Our therapists have heard them before, and there is no judgement.
