Low Mood & Sadness
Sometimes life just feels grey. You are getting through the day, but the spark is missing. Low mood is very common, and paying attention to it early can stop it from settling in.
What this might look like for you
- Randomly wanting to cry for no logical reason.
- Just going through the motions to get from morning to night.
- Feeling like you are living in muted, black and white colors.
- Craving isolation heavily while simultaneously feeling lonely.
You do not need a medical diagnosis to deserve support. Sometimes life is just a bit too heavy to carry entirely on your own.
How therapy can help
- Explore what may be behind the heaviness you feel
- Find small, realistic ways to bring back moments of enjoyment
- Build kinder ways of talking to yourself on hard days

Common questions
Is low mood the same as depression?
Not always. Low mood can come and go with life events. If it lasts most days for weeks, or starts affecting your sleep, appetite or work, it may be depression and is worth talking about.
Can therapy help if nothing specific is wrong?
Yes. You do not need a clear reason to feel low. Therapy can help you understand the feeling and find your way back to yourself.
