Feeling Stuck or Lost

Feeling stuck is that sense of going through the motions without knowing where you are going. It often shows up at transitions: after studies, in a career, after a relationship ends, or simply when what used to work no longer fits.

What this might look like for you

  • Watching your peers move forward while you feel indefinitely paused.
  • Being completely paralyzed because you do not know what you want.
  • Feeling like you made a massive wrong turn somewhere in the past.
  • A nagging and consistent sense of wondering if this is all there is.

Being stuck just means your old ways of doing things do not fit who you are currently becoming. We will help you orient to the new you.

How therapy can help

Common questions

Is therapy only for people with a mental health condition?

No. Many people come to therapy to understand themselves better and make decisions with more clarity. Feeling stuck is a very good reason to talk to someone.

How many sessions will I need?

It varies. Some people find direction in a handful of sessions; others prefer longer support. Your therapist will check in with you regularly about how it is going.
