Burnout & Stress

Burnout happens when demands have outlasted your resources for too long. You may feel exhausted, detached from work or study, and less effective however hard you try. Rest alone often does not fix it, because the patterns that caused it are still there.

What this might look like for you

  • Running continuously on caffeine, adrenaline, and pure panic.
  • Feeling immediately resentful when anyone asks you for anything.
  • You finally get an hour to rest, but you cannot turn your brain off.
  • Vividly dreading Monday as soon as Friday evening starts.

Burnout happens when your body forcefully says no because you wouldn't. We will help you set boundaries so you can actually breathe.

How therapy can help

  • Spot the early signs and the pressures driving your burnout
  • Set boundaries and priorities that protect your energy
  • Recover a sense of meaning and balance, not just push through

Common questions

What is the difference between stress and burnout?

Stress usually feels like too much: too much pressure, too much to do. Burnout often feels like not enough: empty, flat and running on fumes. Both are worth addressing before they affect your health.

Do I need to quit my job to recover?

Not usually. Therapy focuses on what you can change, in your habits, boundaries and thinking, and helps you make clear decisions about bigger changes if they are needed.
